Appendiceal Granulation PolypDepartment of Pathology, Baystate Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine, Springfield, Massachusetts, Liron.pantanowitz{at}bhs.org An appendiceal granulation polyp is an unusual polyp of the vermiform appendix. In this article, the pathology of such a polyp that developed in a 9-year-old boy with an appendicostomy is presented. These polyps may result as a complication of chronic irritation following the surgical creation of a stoma into the vermiform appendix or after appendico-vesicostomy.
